HOW to Become a Morning Person

We all know Why You Should be a Morning

Person, but what about the How?

Anyone who has gone through

the 'transition' knows both how difficult yet

rewarding it can be.

1. Accept that you WILL be tired for the first week of transitioning

The initial shift is not a fun one, just face it. Your body will take time to adjust to your new lifestyle so if you want to get up earlier make sure that you also go to bed earlier! Rather than cutting back on your hours of sleep each day just shift them around a bit. The first week will not be pretty but after that it's smooth sailing I promise!

2. Reward yourself in the morning

In order to help this transition run smoothly give yourself something to look forward to in order to physically get you out of bed. In the beginning, you will not get out of bed (especially if it's still dark out) if you don't actually want to. Try rewarding your self in the morning with something that you don't usually have time to do! For some people it may be catching up on a favorite half hour show online, reading a book, or even your favorite cell phone game for a few minutes! You're the one doing the hard work so reward yourself!

3. Develop your routine ASAP

Find a routine that works for you. It's a simple as that. Everyone tends to have a different routine that works for them and repeating this routine will potentially yield higher productivity especially in the morning. One person may start their day off with a cup of coffee on the patio, while others may go for a morning run. Find what works for you and stick with it.

Following these three steps that will help

become a morning person!!
